My First Challenge!

I decided I would try a challenge for the first time ever, and I must say that I now understand why they are so popular!  I had so much fun with it!  The challenge was to color a stamped image, which I wasn't sure about because I don't have any copics, color pencils, or a huge variety of distress inks (I'm a poor college student!).  However, I do have some Faber Castelle Gelatos (they were on sale for $20 on HSN a while back!).  Previously I had trouble using them, they are waxy/creamy like a crayon, but they come in a chapstick like tube.  For this card I embossed the stamped flower and then rubbed the different colors of Gelato over the embossed image.  Then I rubbed the Gelatos in and blended with my finger.  I'm excited with the results!

Engagement Card!

Congratulations to my friends Katie and Brandt on their engagement!  I made this for their engagement party last week.  I finally got to use this cut off of the Sweethearts Cricut cartridge! 

Fun with Alcohol Ink!

I'm really enjoying my day off!  I'm working on painting my new room; so this card was inspired by my having painting on the brain, hahaha!  I made the "drips" with alcohol inks by simply putting a drop down and then leaning the card! 

Shadow Box of Memories!

I decided recently that it was time to do something with my stuff from High School graduation.  I've scrapbooked all of the pictures, but what do you do with your cap and other 3D items?  You can't just throw away those things!  So this is what I came up with!  I can't wait to put it up on the wall in my new room!

I made this one for my sister who recently graduated!  She turned 18 yesterday!
